Virtual Contacts

This guide explains how to find colleagues, manage your own profile card and use custom fields in the Virtual Contacts app.

Logging In

Log in with your Microsoft account at /login. contacts.fpcr.co.uk/login

Organisation View

After logging in you are taken to the Organisation View. Here you can:

  • Search by name or email using the search box.
  • Click column headings to sort by name or email.
  • Navigate pages with the Previous/Next buttons.
  • Select a name to open that person's card.
  • Use My Card in the header to open your own profile.

Contact managers see a Go to Admin link for additional controls.

Viewing a Profile Card

A profile card displays:

  • Photo, job title and department.
  • Email and phone number links.
  • Presence and out‑of‑office status from Microsoft 365.
  • Any custom fields configured for that user.
  • Buttons to download a vCard, show a QR code or copy a share link.

When viewing your own card you can edit custom fields and hide the card.

Hiding Your Card

  1. Open My Card from the Organisation View.
  2. Use the Card Visible/Card Hidden button at the bottom of your card to toggle visibility.
  3. When hidden, other users will not be able to view your card.

Managing Custom Fields

Custom fields let you store extra information on your profile.

  1. Open My Card.
  2. Click Edit custom fields beneath the custom field section.
  3. For each entry select a field type, enter a value and choose whether it should be visible to others.
  4. Use Add another field to create additional entries or Remove to delete one.
  5. Click Save when finished.

Administrators can define the available field types in the admin area.

Sharing and QR Codes

While viewing a card:

  • Click the share icon to copy a direct link to the card.
  • Click the QR icon to generate a QR code for quick sharing.
  • Use the Add Contact button to download a vCard file for importing into your address book.
